Synopsis

Unwavering ambition meeting unseen talent - that’s the heartbeat of Working on My Dream, a studio-based documentary–interview web series.

“A hybrid between documentary and interview, where the host guides a guest through a reflective conversation while the audience is immersed in images, videos, and locations that illustrate the milestones of the guest’s journey.”

This series celebrates boundary-pushing excellence -spanning artists and makers, performers and educators, and those pursuing leadership in sport, science, history, and beyond. Each story begins quietly, far from headlines: an intimate conversation at the centre, intercut with vérité from streets, rehearsal rooms, workshops, and home studios. You feel the grit. You see the persistence. You hear the unseen work that happens long before recognition.

Every episode opens with the presenter framing the topic, skill, or dream - inviting a wider audience to connect with the subject before the conversation unfolds.

The tone is real, unspoken, brave - and quietly uplifting. We favour substance over status and invite audiences beyond simple success/failure binaries to meet complex, relatable people who choose the hard work of becoming.

For purpose-driven dreamers, emerging creatives and makers, learners and educators - anyone who values raw process, honest storytelling, and the courage to keep going - Working on My Dream aims to inspire while doubling as a practical teaching space and training ground for new crews.

What remains isn’t a highlight reel but a record and platform showcasing: the countless hours, heart, and ingenuity behind every so-called “overnight” success. This series also acts as a nudge to keep working on your own dream.
